Description

Cave Nebula
Sh2-155
Caldwell 9

Sh2-155 is a diffuse nebula in the constellation Cepheus which lies within a larger nebula complex containing emission, reflection, and dark nebulosity. Sh2-155 is commonly known as The Cave Nebula and is an ionized HII region with ongoing star formation activity. It has an estimated distance of 2400 light-years from Earth.

Acquisition Notes:  Captured in multiple filters of HaLRGB because of the emission, reflection and dark nebulosity within the region. Processing was very challenging for me as I'm used to working with only Ha and O3 on most targets.

Thanks, Eddie
